Classes
Where?
Classes run at "The Hub Hazelwell".
What's on offer?
Most classes combine a mixture of styles from a young age, to develop them as all-round performers.
This comprises Ballet, Tap, and Freestyle, with Modern Jazz, Rock-n-Roll and Gymnastic Dance thrown in. Children are placed in classes according to age, experience and ability.
Older pupils can pick and choose subjects as they find their strengths.
Adults are catered for, too … don’t be shy!
We have a mixed-ability group Tuesday evenings, for Tap and/or Freestyle. We also dabble in Rock-n-Roll and Ballet!

Your expectations
New pupils are welcome to have a parent/guardian watch them, as I understand how daunting a first class can be ... I cried through my first ever dance lesson! This can go on for a few sessions to build your child’s confidence. As a rule, however, parents aren't permitted to watch for many reasons: the children behave better when it’s just me and it’s nice for the parents to get a surprise watching the shows. (We also have "Open Days" for parents, friends and family to watch).
My expectations
I do expect good attendance as it's easy for children to fall behind with the routines. Your child should dress correctly in the school's uniform, partly for safety reasons, but also to show commitment and belonging, so adding to our professional status as a successful dance school. Every item can be purchased here. We have regular shoe sales, too, and can sell-on your secondhand items. New pupils, however, are given the chance to settle before making a commitment. They can pay per class and wear their own comfortable non-uniform clothing (e.g. leggings and a T-shirt).
